YUMMY ANZAC BISCUITS !!

You will need :
:  ½ cup flour
:  ½ cup sugar
:  ¾ cup oats (rolled)
:  ¾ cup coconut
: 100 grams butter
: 1   tablespoon golden  syrup
:  ½ teaspoon baking soda
:  2 tablespoon boiling water

1       First get out a bowl.  Chuck the flour, sugar, oats and coconut into the bowl and mix together.
2       Grab an adult to guide you and to keep you safe. Melt the butter and golden syrup in a pan or pot on a low heat.
3       Place the baking soda in a cup and carefully pour the boiling water into the cup and watch it bubble and foam up . Add this to the butter and syrup.
4       Tip the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir away.
5       Grease the baking tray. Plop the oaty mixture onto the tray about 5 centimetres apart in tablespoon sized balls.
6       Bake at 180C for about 15 minutes or until the biscuits are lovely and golden.

We make ANZAC bickys because that’s one of the ways to remember people that fought for us and because it shows respect for those that died in World War One .
